Lisa J Moore, LMHC
You are coming to a seasoned, effective therapist. Most people who start with Lisa, stay with Lisa. And they come back the next time they need a therapist. Plus they refer their friends and family. Cash, checks and credit / debit cards are accepted as payment.
We are working on a color coded chart for you to more clearly see the price structure outlined below. Basically, normal office hours are Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you want or need hours outside those times, then a premium is charged...anywhere from an extra $25 to $50 for the first hour. The great thing is that most additional time is still only prorated at $100 per hour so you can get ninety minutes of premium time for $175 to $200. And most clients love a 90 minute session.
Self pay rates:
Monday through Friday
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Premium Time Self Pay:
The following premium time slots are available for a small additional fee:
Prepaid package rates are available for personal growth / coaching clients. No insurance will be billed for these package rates.
If you are using insurance other than Aetna or Cigna, your session will be a strict 45 minute session after the initial session.
Network provider for: Aetna, Cigna, United, and numerous Employee Assistance Programs.
Out-of-Network coverage is available for many PPO plans such as BlueCrossBlueShield, AvMed and ValueOptions... we can check on that for you! You will be responsible for full fee payment up front, but we will provide the form you need for reimbursement.
Note about using insurance:
Insurance can be very restrictive to both you and the therapist. For instance, did you know insurance does not cover marital counseling, because they don't consider marriage issues to be "an illness." Makes sense, right?
But that leads to another issue: when you use insurance it requires a diagnosis. While we attempt to use the least restrictive accurate diagnosis, a diagnosis could impact you in the future for things like a security clearance or life insurance.
Under insurance, you are considered to have a treatable illness or condition. Unless you have a serious diagnosis, you will be limited to how many sessions you can receive before excessive work is required of the therapist to qualify you. This makes us all grumpy: me, because I don't have time to do this and you, because I will charge you for this time. The fact is, insurance is not set up to cover personal growth. Which makes sense. Consider making yourself worth the investment.
Most insurances have decided that a session should be 45 minutes and that's what they pay for. Wouldn't it be lovelier if you could have 60 or 90 minutes? Marriage counseling certainly demands it.
One other thing. Insurance does not cover appointments you make and do not keep or that you cancel late ($40). They do not cover the charges for records or paperwork for short and long term disability ($40-150 plus). I no longer fill out short or long term disability paperwork for employers. You will need to see another provider for that. Nor do they cover expenses for legal cases, which I do NOT do, but if a judge orders your records, I charge $200 per hour of my time to review, copy and send these.
